Services - Water Damage Carpet Clean-up
|
The following information is intended
to assist you in understanding flood damage work undertaken by Metro Carpet Cleaning.
Emergency work could involve the following:
- Applying sanitizer solution to prevent mould, mildew and kill
bacteria and viruses that will occur in flood incidents
- Extraction of flood water
- Removal of contents where necessary if deemed to be
beyond restoration
- Moisture testing to determine the amount of moisture
content in the building structure and in the
air to calculate humidity
- Installation of drying equipment such as air-movers and
dehumidifiers.
During the emergency work a detailed
assessment of the damage to the carpets and contents
will be undertaken to assess restoration.
The extent or amount of work performed will
depend upon the extent of the flooding.
Any time flooding occurs in a property, residential
or commercial, a drying program will be instituted to ensure
a full and complete drying
process is accomplished. Failure to do so may well create an
environment in which bacteria and other micro-organisms
can breed leading to possible health problems. Additionally,
there is potential for further damage to floors, walls
and carpet. Therefore, the technician will meet with
you and arrange a schedule to regularly monitor the drying
process.
It is important that the drying equipment
installed is used as instructed by the technician, as the
longer the equipment is allowed to stay on, the faster the
drying time.
